Agent In Focus : Dick Farmer

We would like you to join us in congratulating Dick Farmer on his recent retirement as CRIA Regional Manager! While he will be handing over the reins to district manager, Aaron Peterson, on January 1, Dick will remain a mentor in the Iowa offi ce and agent/consultant for the company.

“I hope to be of help to Aaron as he takes over the Iowa Region, and to Reserve National as we make the transition required,” said Dick.

“I have enjoyed the people of Reserve National most,” he continued. “This includes my agents, fellow managers and all the home offi ce personnel who have been so kind to Kay and me. Most of all, I have indeed been fortunate to have my wife, Kay, as my secretary and offi ce manager. Without her, I could not have achieved the success we have enjoyed in Cedar Rapids.”

Dick was recruited to Reserve National early in 1981 by Bill Bice. He was an agent in the Columbia, Missouri, offi ce until 1984, when he assumed the regional manager position in Cedar Rapids. He has led the Iowa region since that time.

Prior to his career at Reserve National, Dick worked in life insurance sales and was an Administrative Judge for the Northern District of Boone County, Missouri. He graduated with a BA in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University.

Dick has enjoyed his time talking to many wonderful people across their kitchen table and assisting them with their insurance needs. He achieved Agent of the Year in 1982 and 1983, was runner-up Manager of the Year in 1985, 1986 and 1987 and has accrued other various awards over his honorable career with Reserve National.

Cedar Rapids has been fortunate to have such an energetic and dedicated leader for the past 27 years, and we at Reserve National are fortunate to have his continued guidance into the next phase. Congratulations on a job well done, Dick!
